40 years of Pyramid Computer GmbH Welcome to our website!

This year we are celebrating Pyramid's 40th birthday. Our history began in 1985 with desktop PCs - today we are a highly specialized supplier of standardized and customized industrial PCs, servers and self-service terminals.

Being part of a company that has been writing technology history for so long and is one of the traditional IT companies is both a gift and a motivation for me.

Hardly any other industry has changed as much in recent decades as IT. The wind of change blows constantly - and sometimes relentlessly. This makes us all the more proud that we at Pyramid have mastered all the challenges to date, constantly rethought hardware and set trends with our developments. You can find some of these milestones here.

An essential part of our Made in Germany success story is our team. This includes colleagues who have remained loyal to us since the early years. I myself have been working for Pyramid - with a brief interruption - in various positions since 1994. The knowledge and experience of our long-standing employees are just as valuable to us as the ideas and creative drive of our young talents, who bring a breath of fresh air to the company with new perspectives.

Peter Trosien

CEO
Peter Trosien (54), Chief Executive Officer (CEO), has been with Pyramid since 1994. Today he is at the helm of the company. He has extensive knowledge in almost all areas of Pyramid.

In his previous roles as Head of Purchasing, CTO and COO, he has held operational and strategic responsibility - from technology development to process design and overall management.

This broad experience characterizes his management work: forward-looking, pragmatic, customer- and growth-oriented.

Wolfgang Lang

Director Finance & HR
Wolfgang Lang (56), Director Finance & HR, manages the commercial areas of Human Resources as well as Finance and Controlling.

With his keen understanding of people and figures, he ensures transparency, efficiency and financial stability in all of the company's processes.

Uwe Wiest

Sales Director EMEA
Uwe Wiest (54), Sales Director, is responsible for Pyramid for EMEA.

With over 30 years of experience in the IT industry - including at SAS Institute, IBM Lotus, Sun and Dell - he brings with him a comprehensive understanding of technical contexts and international market requirements. His career has been characterized by hands-on technology expertise and strategic thinking.

Today, he uses his experience and Pyramid's IT and engineering expertise to develop tailor-made solutions together with our customers across all industries.

Jens Silva

Director Product & Technology
Jens Silva (38), Director Product & Technology, creates the structures and processes that enable our teams to develop innovative product solutions.

With his passion for industrial IT solutions and his proximity to customer requirements, he consistently drives our technological developments forward.

Our innovative strength is another important factor in Pyramid's long market presence as a technology company. Our consistent focus on quality, reliability, active customer orientation and, last but not least, our commitment to Germany as a development and production location are also of decisive importance. For four decades, we have been proving that value creation in IT is also possible here in Germany.

The complete Pyramid package is the reason why SMEs and large corporations from all over the world have placed their trust in us - some of them for almost as long as we have been around.

In 1985, the first Pyramid was created in an attic apartment in Freiburg. In 2025, we are active at locations in Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and Thuringia. We develop in Aachen and Freiburg, produce and ship in Ichtershausen and provide support in Witzenhausen, Hesse.
