Self-service in logistics Pyramid as OEM for ABONA
Pyramid and ABONA are digitizing order processing in freight forwarders and logistics departments of large companies with the POLYTOUCH® LogiScanBox.
It converts the freight documents from paper to digital format on site. All relevant data is transferred directly to the ERP system, where it is immediately available for further processing.
We developed the system from our POLYTOUCH® CLASSIC kiosk platform. Its advantages include its small footprint and its modifiable design concept, which allows it to be configured cost-effectively for specific use cases.
For ABONA, we have integrated a state-of-the-art document scanner that the truck driver operates via the 24″ full HD touch display. The kiosk scans small and large documents at a resolution of up to 600 dpi.
The terminal's other peripherals include a microphone, a secure document drop box (combination lock), an envelope holder and illuminated lettering in the customer's CI.
The terminal has a pull-out writing pad in case the freight documents need to be annotated before scanning.
In modern logistics, drivers of different nationalities and thus communication problems are the order of the day. This is where the self-service terminal comes to the rescue: thanks to ABONA software, its user interface is multilingual and self-explanatory.
The driver selects their native language at the touch of a finger and completes their tasks quickly, accurately and efficiently . At the same time, multilingualism promotes acceptance of the digital solution.
