Aversi is Georgia's largest pharmacy chain.

Self-service terminals from Pyramid are creating added value for customers and employees in more and more stores.

The main task of pharmacists and their employees is to inform customers about the effects of medicines and medical products.

The core business also includes the production of individual prescriptions, the dispensing of aids and delivery services for people who are unable to leave their homes.

There is often little time for these important tasks because staff are in short supply or there are a lot of customers waiting for advice or to collect money.

With this in mind, Aversi launched a consumer survey on the acceptance of self-service solutions in 2019. The results encouraged decision-makers to introduce self-checkout for the standard pharmacy supplement range in selected stores

Those responsible were clear that they were breaking new ground in the industry with this innovation.

"Self-service technologies are a fixture in many industries, but not in the pharmacy business [...]. We wanted to create more convenience for our customers, so we took on the challenge. We looked at devices from a number of manufacturers, but we quickly realized that Pyramid's PASSPORT was exactly the kiosk terminal we wanted to use in our pharmacy chain."
