With the new POLYTOUCH® product line, we are meeting the increasing demand from the logistics sector and the logistics departments of large companies for kiosk solutions.

Each terminal is available in a version for outdoor and indoor areas. Drivers and warehouse staff carry out the usual inbound and outbound tasks in self-service.

This speeds up processes and takes pressure off employees. They have more time for freight documents that cannot be created and issued using the standard procedure.

Our LOGISTIC TERMINAL is based on the OUTDOOR. This means a steel and aluminum chassis, a C4 corrosivity category coating , a sophisticated sealing concept and an integrated heating and/or cooling system.

For POLYTOUCH® terminals, we use hardware from the ecosystem of our own brands.

With the Logistics terminals comes from the 19" full HD touchscreen from faytech®. The display is optically bonded, direct sunlight suitable and presents the screen content with a brightness of 1000 resp. 2500 cd/m². We thus guarantee Optimum readability and operability under direct sunlight.

We decided to use the BoxFlex S, an industrial PC from AKHET®. The compact and powerful IPC is based on 64-bit Intel® Celeron™ technology and operates in temperature ranges up to +50° C.

Our POLYTOUCH® OUTBOUND self-service terminals for issuing freight documents offer considerable advantages for logistics companies and truck drivers. The automated document issue eliminates long waiting times at the counter.

Drivers can print out their delivery bills, customs documents or waybills themselves around the clock, regardless of the administration's opening hours. This ensures fast and smooth processing, especially in shift operations and at highly frequented locations.

The terminal has an intercom with loudspeaker, microphone and help button. We use Lexmark hardware for the document printer .

At the POLYTOUCH® inbound terminal, the truck driver scans his freight documents or the code on his cell phone. This transfers all the information about his delivery into digital format. The data is immediately transferred to the ERP for further processing. In return, the driver is shown the gate at which he has to deliver and the route there via the terminal display.

For document and code scanners, we rely on hardware from market leaders Basler and Zebra.

Multilingual user interface Reading and understanding

In modern logistics, drivers from different nations and therefore communication problems are the order of the day.

Self-service terminals provide a remedy: Their user interface is multilingual and self-explanatory for everyone. Drivers can select their native language at the touch of a finger and complete their tasks quickly, accurately and efficiently . At the same time, multilingualism promotes acceptance of the digital solution.

Especially in time-critical logistics processes, the multilingualism of the self-service systems is a decisive advantage for companies with a high volume of international traffic.

Inbound and outbound for indoor and outdoor areas POLYTOUCH® LOGISTIC TERMINAL

POLYTOUCH® LOGISTIC TERMINAL for OUTBOUND (outgoing goods)

The truck driver identifies himself at the terminal, which then issues the freight documents via an A4 printer. The documents are ready for removal in the tray behind the lifting flap. The printer's media tray holds 550 sheets of paper. An intercom is available.

POLYTOUCH® LOGISTIC TERMINAL for INBOUND (incoming goods)

The truck driver converts his freight documents into a digital format using the document scanner in the terminal. To do this, he places the documents sheet by sheet in the shaft behind the lifting flap. He controls the process via the display in his native language.

In 2020, we entered the world of self-service terminals for freight forwarders and logistics departments.

We created the POLYTOUCH® LogiScanBox for our partner ABONA. It digitizes freight documents on site and feeds the data into the ERP system. Its user interface can be operated in several languages.

We developed the system in close consultation with our client. This gave us valuable insights into the industry and its specific requirements for self-service solutions.
