This time, the nine apprentices from Pyramid Computer GmbH went on their annual trip to the mountains. Not only were our new trainees there, but also trainees from other years of training and our instructors. It was a great opportunity to chat, get to know each other better, and grow closer as a group.
The destination for our current group of trainees was the Schauinsland, Freiburg’s local mountain and, at about 1,284 meters, one of the most famous mountains in the Black Forest. We took a leisurely ride up on the cable car.
Once we reached the top, the Black Forest showed its mixed side. The sun alternated with clouds, so the visibility wasn't always ideal.

Pyramid offers apprenticeships in the following fields: industrial business administration, IT specialist, IT systems management, IT systems electronics technician, and office management.
As diverse as these fields may be, one thing took center stage that day: community. It is one of the foundations for the outstanding training successes that Pyramid regularly celebrates.
In 2017, Kevin Schoner, the nation’s top apprentice in IT systems integration, and in 2019, Sven Drost, the state’s top IT systems electronics technician, both came from our company.
In 2025, Dominik Pilch graduated as the top IT systems electronics technician in all of Baden-Württemberg.

The first item on the agenda was a short loop hike to the Eugen-Keidel Tower. It has 85 steps and was named after a former mayor of Freiburg. Along the way, there were plenty of opportunities to share experiences from our daily training routines. Of course, we also had plenty of time to talk about personal matters.
The day came to a cozy close with a meal together. It gave us another chance to have good conversations and enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed atmosphere. There was a lot of laughter, and we had a wonderful time together.
Training isn't just about learning and working—it's also about team spirit, camaraderie, and having fun. It was an all-around great day for the participants—even if the sun chose to hide behind the clouds every now and then!
