POLYTOUCH® PASSPORT 32 for Siemens HiMed

With HiMed, Siemens provides hospitals with an open and secure platform of hardware and software for digital services at the point of care.

From 2024, some of the services will be delivered to patients via the HiMed InfoPoint kiosk system. The hardware for the solution comes from Pyramid. The terminal is based on the POLYTOUCH® PASSPORT 32, which has been equipped for the specific requirements of Siemens HiMed.

As a HiMed InfoPoint, the PASSPORT 32 provides patients and visitors with important information in the entrance and common areas of hospitals.

Payments for HiMed services and topping up patient card credit can also be made at any time of day or night using the integrated payment system - without the need for staff.

The POLYTOUCH® terminal impressed Siemens HiMed with its slim design and small footprint, the tool-free installation, the space for many peripherals in the screen frame and in the console as well as the PC box from the in-house Pyramid brand AKHET®.

In the dual display version, the system treats two patients simultaneously.

The large 32″ full-HD touch display of the kiosk solution is particularly well suited to the clear and user-friendly presentation of the extensive software from HiMed and other companies that use the Siemens application as a platform for their applications.

This allows the terminal to be used multifunctionally for various use cases, e.g. for admission, treatment, transfer and discharge management in self-service, as a call system for waiting areas or as a guidance system in corridors and halls.

The roll-out of the kiosk solution began in February 2024.
