With the AKHET® Essential Server product line, we are targeting system houses and companies that require high-performance storage servers in 19" rack format for themselves or their customers. The models are designed for operation in data centers and comparable environments (controlled temperature and humidity).
The space-saving 1Uand 2U systems offer impressive processor and memory performance. They support both Intel® Xeon® Scalable and AMD EPYC™ server processors, allowing customers to choose the optimal CPU architecture for their specific requirements. High core count, efficient multithreading technology and up to 256 GB DDR5 ECC Registered RAM enable outstanding performance for data-intensive workloads.
This makes the Essential servers suitable for virtualization, databases and cloud computing (public, hybrid, on-premise). Typical application scenarios are bursting, high availability, backup & disaster recovery and big data.
Thanks to their flexible backplane, the servers can be configured with a variety of NVMe, SSD or HDD drives. The 1U version holds 10, the 2U version 24 media, which are managed via the built-in RAID controller. The combination of these features ensures high storage density and data security as well as fast data processing and transfer.
The Essentials are managed efficiently via IPMI Server Management. PCIe 5.0 lanes up to x16 allow the integration of additional high-performance components. The high-performance network connection includes two 10 GbE and two 1 GbE interfaces to reliably handle even demanding data transfer requirements.
The systems are extremely easy to maintain. They can be mounted in the rack without tools, their hard disk bays can be fitted without tools in hot-swap mode and the top can be removed without tools. An intrusion switch detects unauthorized enclosure openings and a redundant power supply unit ensures maximum reliability.
