Digital guest experiences meet rugged hardware “Made in Germany”: Straiv is expanding its portfolio with the new Straiv Kiosk | PULSE, a modular self-check-in kiosk for hotels. The hardware is developed and manufactured in close collaboration with Pyramid Computer .
With the new kiosk, Straiv and Pyramid combine digital check-in and check-out processes with professional, versatile hardware. This provides hoteliers with an integrated solution for the lobby that can be incorporated into both hybrid models with a staffed front desk and fully automated workflows.
Greater Flexibility for Hotel Operations
The Straiv Kiosk | PULSE handles key processes such as data entry, check-in and check-out, payment, and the issuance of room keys. This allows hotel staff to reduce administrative tasks and focus more on providing personalized service to their guests.
A distinctive feature of the kiosk is its modular design. The system can be used as a tabletop unit, wall-mounted, or freestanding—without the need for floor anchoring. This allows the kiosk to be flexibly adapted to different spatial and operational requirements.
Pyramid hardware: designed for continuous professional use
Pyramid brings its many years of experience in the development and manufacturing of professional kiosk and self-service systems to this solution. The Straiv Kiosk | PULSE was designed for reliable operation in the demanding hotel environment.
Features include, among other things:
- Modular installation: as a tabletop unit, wall-mounted unit, or freestanding unit
- Automatic RFID Card Dispenser: with a retract function for low-maintenance operation
- Built-in passport scanner: for efficient data capture
- Motion Sensors: For Intuitive Use
- Interfaces for Common Payment Terminals
- Privacy Filter: to protect sensitive guest data in high-traffic areas
- Physical Keypads: For Accessibility
Pyramid , based in Germany, handles development and design. The hardware is manufactured at the company's own production facilities.
A kiosk that grows along with the hotel business
Whether to take some of the pressure off the front desk during peak hours or as a central component of a fully automated check-in system, the Straiv Kiosk | PULSE can be tailored to fit any hotel's specific concept.
The joint solution from Straiv and Pyramid demonstrates how software and standardized, modular hardware can work together to quickly and reliably integrate digital services into a hotel’s day-to-day operations.
“The Straiv Kiosk | PULSE is an important milestone for us and a logical response to the growing need for reliable automation in the hospitality industry,” says Alexander Haußmann, founder and CEO of Straiv.
